Mackenzie was last seen in Wenatchee, Washington leaving her beauty school class. Her red, 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix was recovered 50 miles from where Mackenzie was last seen. Her body was located along the Columbia River.

Amber was last seen walking to Escondido High School. She never arrived at school. It was after the disappearance and murder of Chelsea King from nearby Poway, California in late February 2010 that new leads came in that led to the discovery of Amber's skeletal remains on the Pala Indian Reservation in northeast San Diego county.

Chelsea went for her usual jog and never returned. After a massive search her body was located in a shallow grave near Lake Hodges in Rancho Bernardo, California.

Malmberg told police he put his knee in Jozlynn's chest, pinning her to the floor until she stopped breathing. He put her body in a Dumpster. Her body has not been located.
