Javier and Emily were allegedly abducted from Indianapolis, Indiana on May 31, 2002 by Javier Aguilera. A felony warrant for custodial interference was issued for the abductor on September 11, 2002. As of October 16, 2009 the children had been located.

Joshua and Kylie were last seen on October 20, 2009. with their mother, Sarah Smith, and her boyfriend, Jason McLellan. According to news accounts, Sarah Smith called authorities October 28, after seeing news reports of her being a missing person along with her children. She told authorities they have been staying with friends for the past week and left her mother's home after an argument. Apparently her mother filed the missing person report.

Jordan, 13, was last seen on October 8, 2009. Detectives discovered Jordan had called a cab to her home in the early morning hours of October 8 and traveled to Union Station in Washington, D.C. From there she traveled to New York City where she was located unharmed by the F.B.I.'s Baltimore Field Division agents.

Karla, Fernando & Oscar Casanova
Chicago, Illinois
Karla, Fernando and Oscar were reported missing from Chicago, Illinois after authorities discovered their mother had been murdered inside of their home. During the process of the investigation it was determined the children were last seen at their school on April 18, 2008. They were picked up from their school on that day at approximately 2:30 p.m. by Benito Casanova. Casanova was described as a male family relative.An AMBER Alert was issued because authorities suspected Casanova in the murder of the mother of the children. Unfortunately, because so much time had elapsed since the children were last seen, the case grew cold rather quickly. Authorities determined Casanova had already crossed the border into Mexico with the children. According to the NCMEC, as of July 1, 2009 the children had been located safe. There is no information regarding the suspect.

Samantha was reported missing from North Bend, Washington on September 20, 2009. As of November 17, 2009 Samantha had been located.
Richard Chekevdia
Illinois
Richard was allegedly abducted by his mother, Shannon Wilfong from Illinois in 2007. Police served a search warrant on the home of Shannon Wilfong's mother over the 2009 Labor Day weekend. They found a secret room where it is alleged the boy and his mother stayed to hide from authorities. Shannon Wilfong was taken into custody on charges of parental kidnapping. Shannon's mother was charged with aiding and abetting. She bonded out and appeared on one of the early morning news shows. She claims the child was not locked or kept in the hidden room and even said Richard got to celebrate the 4th of July and planted a garden with her in the back yard. She said she will plead not guilty to the charges. Because Shannon Wilfong alleged Richard's father was sexually abusing the boy before she kidnapped her son, Richard has been placed in foster care instead of going home to his father. Richard's father is the legal custodial parent.

Joshua was reported as an endangered missing child from Fredericktown, Missouri on May 4, 2009. According to the NCMEC and various news accounts, Joshua was safely recovered on May 5, 2009.
Brendan Michael Chobod
Mt. Pleasant, Michigan
Brendan, 11, was last seen on the morning of September 11, 2009 at about 8 a.m. He was napping and when someone went to check on him at around noon he was no longer in the home. He was reported missing at 12:30 p.m. Brendan has the mental capacity of a 5-year-old. Authorities believed he may have been in the company of Kenneth Smith traveling in a GMC Van with a trailer and Michigan license plates CAT2531. Smith, a former babysitter of Brendan's had recently been evicted from the trailer park. He was awaiting sentencing on drug charges and had been seen hanging around the trailer park after he was evicted. On the evening of September 12 Brendan was located in the company of Smith in Sandusky, Ohio. Police say the child appeared to be OK but he was taken to a medical facility for an examination. Smith was taken into custody on unrelated charges and will most likely face charges related to having Brendan in his custody.

Shannon Dedrick
Chipley, Florida
Shannon, 7 months, was last seen on the morning of October 31, 2009. Police found her late in the evening of November 4. She was found alive inside a box underneath the bed of her babysitter. The babysitter, Susan Baker, her husband Paul Baker, and Shannon's mother Chrystina Mercer are all in police custody. Shannon was rushed to the hospital but she is expected to be OK. Police believe she was placed inside the box about 8 a.m. Wednesday. There is no information at this time where she has been kept since October 31. In 1987 the Bakers reporter their 3-year-old son missing. Susan claimed she had put him down for a nap and he was gone when she went to wake him up. He was never found and a body was never found. Their daughter was removed from their home by Child Protective Services after finding evidence of broken bones and sores. Susan Baker served time in prison for the abuse of her daughter. The Bakers were extradited back to South Carolina from Florida to face charges regarding their son Paul's death but the grand jury did not indict them.

A'dryn, 18 months, was allegedly abducted by his father, Johnnie Alexander Drummond, III, after he assaulted A'dryn's mother. An AMBER Alert was issued for Adryn on October 8, 2009. He was located safe on October 9. Johnnie Alexander was taken into custody.
Damien Paul Duncan
Seymour, Tennessee
Damien, 11, was reported missing from his Seymour, Tennessee home on July 9, 2009. He had last been seen by his father and stepmother on the morning of July 8 at around 8 a.m. before they left for work. When they arrived home that evening at approximately 4 p.m. they discovered Damien was not in the home. Initially the father thought his son was with his biological mother so he did not call police to report the disappearance until sometime the following day. An AMBER Alert was activated on July 9, 2009 and police and volunteers scoured the area looking for the boy. On the evening of July 10 Damien was located in a creek. He was taken to a local hospital. It is not known at this time if Damien was injured.

Their adoptive father was taken into custody on a number of charges relating to child abuse.

Benjamin Kaiser Griffin
Chandler, Arizona
Benjamin was abducted by his father, James Kaiser from Chandler, Arizona on May 21, 2009. He was supposed to return Benjamin to his mother after the completion of a nine day court ordered visitation. A warrant for his arrest was issued in August. Kaiser was pulled over on September 5 for a routine traffic stop. He was taken into custody because of the warrant and he told authorities where they could find Benjamin. Benjamin was reunited with his mother on September 7 and James Kaiser is awaiting extradition to Arizona to face parental kidnapping charges.

Lenora was reported missing from Staten Island, New York on January 24, 2009. As of November 9, 2009 Lenora had been located.
Karamjit Kaur
Reno, Nevada
Karamijit, 16, was reported missing from Reno, Nevada on September 30, 2009 when she failed to return home from a bicycle ride. Her bicycle was found abandoned on a city street by three juveniles. They then took the bike to a drainage ditch and dumped it there where police found it. The juveniles have been interviewed and are not considered suspects in Kaur's disappearance.
Karamjit was located safe in an Indiana motel room with her pregnant sister's husband. Apparently his wife had returned to the parent's home for the birth of the baby. Her husband was going to return to Indiana where he runs a convenience store. Police were informaed that the brother-in-law had been visiting Karamjit at her high school at break times.
The brother-in-law and Karamjit planned the escape well in advance. Usually she is escorted by her father or brother whenever she leaves the house. She left the house when neither her father or brother were at home so she would be unescorted and that is when the brother-in-law met her and flew her on a commercial flight to Indiana. When police went to his home early on the morning of October 5 and did not find him there they started searching area motels until the two were found. Karamjit's father flew to Indiana to bring her home. It is said he is very ashamed.

Joshua walked away from a therapeutic group home at 10:30 p.m. on October 4, 2009. He was reported missing on October 6, 2009. Joshua was located by deputies on patrol on the evening of October 6 walking down the shoulder of the highway. He told investigators he had been staying at a nearby home. Police will be asking the family members at that home why they did not call law enforcement to let them know Joshua was staying with them.

There was concern by family and law enforcement that the two were planning to commit suicide because they left notes behind indicating their parents did not need to worry about them anymore. They stole a car and fled the area. According to their aunt, Penny Pitts, the two were located in South Carolina on April 30, 2009.

An AMBER Alert was issued for Julia after her mother, Bonnie Sweeten, called police on the afternoon of May 26, 2009 to report they had been kidnapped. Sweeton told the 9-1-1 operator she had been in an auto accident and the persons in the other car had placed her daughter and herself in the trunk of the car and that was where she was calling from using her cell phone. Police investigated and brought the FBI into the case. Eventually it was determined on May 27 that the kidnapping was a hoax and video at the airport showed both mother and daughter boarding a flight at the Philiadelphi International Airport. Sweeten was taken into custody at a hotel at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Her daughter was placed in protective custody.

Calvin Riley
Norwalk, Ohio
Calvin, 13, was reported missing from his Norwalk, Ohio home by his parents on May 12, 2009. Authorities became extremely concerned when they discovered the boy's diary contained several disturbing references concerning wanting to harm classmates and teachers. He also fled in a neighbor's vehicle and reportedly was armed with a shotgun. Calvin was arrested on May 13, 2009 in Dayton, Tennessee.

Briant Rodriguez
San Bernardino, California
Briant, 3, was allegedly abducted by two Hispanic males from San Bernardino, California on May 3, 2009. An AMBER Alert was issued. Briant was found wandering the streets of Mexicali, Mexico on Thursday May 14, 2009. Authorities in Mexicali searched the neighborhood thinking he may belong to one of the families in the area. When the search for the little boy's family was unsuccessful they placed Briant in protective custody. One of the officers called the FBI and San Bernardino detectives on Friday afternoon stating they might have found Briant.
Briant's mother flew to Calexico, California to be reunited with her son. Briant's mother did not cross the border into Mexicali due to concerns regarding her illegal immigrant status in the United States. Briant has duel citizenship. After all of the paperwork was taken care of with Mexicali authorities, Briant was allowed entry back into the United States and was reunited with his mother. As of Saturday afternoon, May 16, Briant had been admitted to a hosptial in the San Bernardino area to access his physical and emotional conditions. It is expected he will be returned to his family within the next few days. His abductors are still at large.

Angel was reported missing from Westwood, New Jersey in 2007. According to the NCMEC, as of June 22, 2009 Angel had been located.
Cortez Rose
Madison, Illinois
Cortez, 5 months, was allegedly abducted by Danielle Medina from Madison, Illinois on June 6, 2009. The child's mother left her son in Medina's care while she traveled to St. Louis to shop for baby clothes. When she returned home in the evening the child and babysitter were gone. After twenty-four hours had passed the mother contacted police to report the kidnapping. During the investigation authorities learned the kidnapping suspect had a prior conviction in New York state for child endangerment. She also had outstanding felony warrants for robbery and grand larceny from New York state. Leads finally led investigators on June 9, 2009 to a home occupied by thirteen other people in Indiana. According to authorities Cortez was found in excellent condition and the suspect was taken into custody. Authorities are now looking for the suspect's boyfriend, Aries Moses, who is also wanted for felony robbery and larceny charges in New York state.

Matthew Samos, Jose Diaz, Ashley Tathkan & Ariana Wade
Long Beach, California
The four children, Jose Diaz, 5; Matthew Samos, 1; Ashley Tathkan, 11; and Ariana Wade, 6, were abducted by Angel Samos, 29, from two locations in Southern California. The suspect allegedly raped his ex-girlfriend and shot a woman while trying to carjack her vehicle. An AMBER Alert was issued at approximately 10 p.m. July 4. The children and the suspect were located at a home in Long Beach at about 5:30 p.m. The children were unharmed and the suspect was taken into custody.

Judith & Delfino Sierra
Moline, Illinois
Judith, 1, & Delfino, 6 months, were allegedly abducted by Delfino Sierra, Sr. at knifepoint from a home in Moline, Illinois on July 5, 2009. A 13-year-old relative was babysitting the children at the time of the abduction. A statewide AMBER Alert was activated for the children. The AMBER Alert was successfully concluded when the children were located that same evening at a home in Sterling, Illinois. The suspect was not located.

According to the Charley Project website, a co-worker of Taylor's mother in Papillion, Nebraska, recognized the girl's picture on on an ADVO card and called authorities. Taylor was taken into protective custody and her mother was arrested.
Haley Willett

Haley, 13, was allegedly abducted by Archie Whalen, 43, from Owensboro, Kentucky on September 26, 2009. Haley had met Whalen when her family stayed at his home in Maine earlier this year. It was at that time that Whalen professed his love for Haley to her mother. Haley's mother, realizing the inappropriateness of the statement, left the home with her daughter and went to Kentucky. After arriving in Kentucky Whalen continued to pursue her daughter via computer and text messages. Haley's mother contacted Maine police to alert them to Whalen's actions; he has a criminal record. Two hours before Haley was discovered missing she had received another text message from Whalen. Haley was discovered missing about 4:30 a.m. An AMBER Alert was issued for Haley and the suspect. They were located 9/27/09 in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. Whalen is in custody.
