This Isn’t California…Just Another Reason Why GPS Tracking Does Not Work
Pictured to the left is Franklin Duane Walston. He is missing from his Houston half-way house. According to the news account Franklin cut off his GPS tracking device and walked out of his court-appointed housing without permission. It is believed that he is traveling by METRO bus.
Now, the plot thickens. This artlice from Click2Houston.com states that Walston is a registered sex offender. However, a search of all fifty states fails to find him on any sex offender registry. I wonder why this is the case. If he has been deemed dangerous enough to be required to live in a designated half-way house for sex offenders and is required to wear a GPS tracking device why is he not listed on the sex offender registry?
