The Authors of Jessica’s Law…
With a little over 70% of the vote Jessica’s Law was adopted by California voters in last November’s election. The law was expected to take effect the next day.
By adopting Jessica’s Law voters expected many things to change in the way California deals with sex offenders in this state. However, soon after the election a handful of registered sex offenders filed lawsuits to stop the law based on one of the provisions regarding residency.
